Jaws 'N' Paws

Well by now you know my name!  I have been an animal lover since I can remember...I grew up with so many!  I've had snakes, an iguana, dogs of all kinds and cats too.  I even had a rabbits and a couple of hamsters that bit me a lot! :)  Also, my mom did a lot of "on-the-side" wild animal rescues...we had a bald eagle at one time, a skunk, baby squirrels and raccoons that had lost their mommies, peacocks, and probably more than I can remember.  I also worked at a vet when I was a senior in high school.  That is when I realized that my ambition of going to college to be a veterinarian needed to be thought over some more because of all the bad things you have to go through :( 

As a pet sitter I get to do all of the fun stuff...no abandoned animals, no euthanizations...I just get to be grandma and spoil them rotten while you are gone!  When I moved to Austin back in November, I was surprised to see how much pets are a significant part of an Austinites life! There are so many places and events that are geared towards pet owners.  New to Steiner Ranch, I thought "What would it hurt to just put some flyers up and see if a pet sitter would be in high demand".  I had no idea how busy my summer would be!  I just started this as an "official" job in April of 2008 and I started it part-time while I worked at my insurance agency.  Well I am happy to say I am now FULL-TIME and I wouldn't have it any other way!
